Specification of the file

Files are specified by its Size, Shape, Grade and cut of teeth. For example, a file specification is given below.

12'' Flat single cut bastard file

In this example 

12''-            represents the length or size of the file

Flat-           for shape of the file

single cut-  for cut of teeth of the file &

Bastard-     for grade of the file

The size or length of the file varies from 4'' to 16''.

The shapes available are: flat, triangular, round, half round etc.

The cut of teeth may be single cut or double cut.

The various grades available are: Rough, bastard, second cut, smooth & dead smooth.
